Guaranteed watching:
Having read the manga, I'm expecting a lot from this one. The animation was very well done. I like how they make the colour so vivid and the graphic crispy clear, brightening its mood in contrast with the story's eery atmosphere. Sadly, I was somewhat disappointed that they left out the scene where Natsuno narrates about his experience of being spied by Megumi in his own house, that's one of the essence that makes Megumi creepier than she looks!! D:
Ookami-san is one fun anime to watch. It was fun watching its fairy tale parodies and the RyoukoxRyoushi moments (Ryoushi is just so darn cool in the 2nd episode!! xD). I can't judge whether it's the show of the season since only 2 episodes have been aired, but it's definitely the comedy of the anime I'm watching!
Shota masters and Demon butlers. Irresistible. I'm thirst on stories, so I'm excited on how this anime original story unfolds. Surprise me please Sebby~
I'll see how it'll turn out. With our awesome Fukuyama Jun as Rikuo and some other talented female seiyuu, let's hope Studio Deen doesn't screw this up.
Trying out:
Have you been wondering what it's like for the high schoolers in Raccoon City when the dead parades in Resident Evil? This is how it happens, but at a different place where (almost) every girl wears mini skirt, see through blouse and practically useless bra. And yeah, if your parents forbid you to play your favourite video games or watch some horror/gore movies, tell them that you simply have to in case these knowledge comes in handy when your life's at stake.
What about the panty shots and those bouncing boobs? I wish Madhouse would just leave them out. But no, HOTD got popular because it's an all-in-one package. Gore has to come with fanservice. In overall, I didn't find them that disturbing (except for the OP), and when I stumble across them, I find stupid excuse for Madhouse for doing so. ('of course we'll see her panty if the wind is blowing her skirt so frigging strong'/'well she's panic so we can't expect her to squat down nicely covering her butt right?'/'she likes that guy and she's smart, so she's trying to get him interested in her by looking sexy')
Mmmmm... Maya is one ass-kicking heroine. She's strong, cool, charismatic. I can almost say that she's the girl of the season. The best part is, being strong doesn't make her immune from a humiliating fall looking like a joker. Despite face-mopping the floor a second ago in front of hundreds of students, Maya gets up swiftly and calmly without looking flustered (or did she?). How cool is that?
Might drop it anytime:
Sharingan and Geass? Fukuyama Jun? All in one? What's that? Lelouch and Sasuke's love child? When did these two power-hungry crazy bishies hook up with each other?
Character wise, the characters and their designs look pretty bland to me. Bishi king with pretty long silver hair, sexy blond hair
Final Thoughts:
My fangirl instincts told me that I must have a bishi in every series I watch, and so I did, except for Occult Academy, Maya's awesomeness made up for its lack of cute guys while Densetsu...'s main guy barely made it, but JunJun was there, so yeah. So that makes 7 anime I'll be following this season, including the still ongoing Kaichou, I'll be watching 8 anime for some time. Terrific~
Weird thing is, every series I planned to watch from the summer season is choke full of something that we don't see in real life. Let's have them all listed out. We have Demons from Kuroshitsuji II (not just that if you count the death gods & etc...), Vampires from Shiki, Zombies from HotD, Youkai from Nurarihyon, Ghost/Spirits/Monsters/Aliens from Occult Academy, Magic/Devil from Densetsu, (doesn't really fit but nvm) Fairy Tale Creatures from Ookami-san. pfffft.
Ps: Only
Ooh, so there's a lot to expect from Shiki? I'll be taking your word for it. P:
ReplyDeleteMmmm~ Crazy vampires, cool vampires, evil vampires, ignorant villagers, useless people, extreme doctor, suicidal 'priest', a bit of BL (maybe I'm thinking too much). That's what you'd get, an interesting bunch of characters doing crazy stuffs in an isolated village when they cry!!!!!! xDD
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely watching Shiki. Love the music, animations, graphics, premise, and atmosphere!
ReplyDeleteThat, and, ahem, Natsuno is pretty. ^_^
