Tegami Bachi 43 - Sweet times

Chapter Summary:
(Daaaaaawwww. Gauche carrying Lag on his back is so sweet~)
After defeating the Gaichu, Gauche carries Lag back home. Lag wants to walk on his own but Gauche insists carrying him because it's sweet nostalgic and it reminds him of the very few days he spent with him.

They chat along the journey and Lag mentioned that he could feel Gauche's heart.

While here, Zazie wakes up and finds himself riding on Jiggy Pepper's bike and hugging him (I have absolutely no idea how does he hold onto him while he's unconscious).

Together they chase the evil dragonfly Gaichu and they manage to catch up with it when it was busy eating hearts in a little village.

After saving a baby, Zazie and Jiggy attack the gaichu boss with their own Shindanjuu. (Unless there's a bigger gaichu boss, it's unlikely for supporting characters like Zazie and Jiggy to finish it off... Though I don't mind these two receiving more screen time!!! Jiggy is so hot with his scar on this page!!!!)

Sylvette is staring at the dinner she prepared and feels worried about the rest, but she comforts herself by believing that everyone will definitely come back in time for dinner. Just then, the door opens and Gauche and Lag enters the house as promised.

Not forgetting Niche and Steak, who arrive with a bang shortly after Lag and Gauche.

And they have their reunion dinner happily~
(Aaaaaaaaaaawww. How sweet!!!!)

Suddenly, Lag starts seeing Gauche's memories.

It's possible that Lag is experiencing these flashbacks due to the Shindanjuu he shot Gauche earlier...

Noir?? Before the flashback ends, Gauche sees this *points picture above*. After the flashback ends, Lag cries silently.

Text: The truth from the memories... What's the reason behind his tears!?

Thoughts:
Looking at the last flashback scene, Lag probably saw what happened during Gauche's transformation to Noir-mode. Most likely something terrible enough make him cry for Gauche, although he's a crybaby and cries for even the littlest thing...

I love this chapter very much. I mean, yes we have some cool action scenes, but most importantly, the ZazieJiggy and GaucheLag moment and the dinner scene were very sweet and touching!! And knowing that storm is ahead (like Pandora Hearts, the mangaka enjoys tormenting us like this no?), it pains me to imagine what kind of traumatising event our cute Lag might go through...
