Chapter Summary:

Ryuko brings Kou along with him upon his request and together they go to the shadow world to meet Shirogane. At that time, Kou was just created some while ago by Ryuko and is still in his 'baby' form, which is a big snowy wolf-like dog.

Before leaving their world, they meet Shisui half-way and start chatting with each other. Shisui greets Ryuko with 'keigo', calling him 'Ryuko-sama'. But Ryuko reminds Shisui that he's a king as well so there's no need to use keigo to him. Ryuko asks Shisui how's his new life and Shisui reveals that he used to live in poverty before Ryuko 'promotes' him (by turning him into a king) and everything seems to be unreal due to the sudden change. But he also states that he's relieved as unlike his old world, this world is much more peaceful without any 'noises'.

At that point, Shisui tells Ryuko about his ability which allows him to hear other people's thought and he says that he prefers to be able to look instead since he couldn't control his power. It must have a painful memory for him as he grip on his staff tightens when Ryuko asks 'Really? You can hear other people's thoughts?'

Unaware of Shisui's slight discomfort at his question, Ryuko continues by saying that Shisui is amazing and states that Shirogane was always scolding Ryuko for being tactless (which is omg so true!!! lol). Shisui learns about Ryuko's trouble in understanding Shirogane's frustration in having to deal with someone as insensitive as Ryuko. Ryuko then tells Shisui that since he can understand others thoughts, he wouldn't have any problem when dealing with Shirogane.

Shisui laughs at Ryuko's tactless nature and says that Ryuko's looks can be deceiving which Ryuko doesn't understand. Shisui then reminds Ryuko that if he doesn't want to get into trouble he better get moving to the Shadow world immediately since Ryuko is already late for his meeting.

Arriving at Shirogane's palace, Ryuko shows Kou around the room, completely ignorant of Shirogane's anger at Ryuko for being late for an hour. Seeing that pisses Shirogane and he starts strangling Kou to vent out his anger. Ryuko, being as tactless (to an unbelievable extent) as he is, doesn't understand Shirogane frustration as time was not a problem in their world.

Fed up with Ryuko, Shirogane starts discussing about Kou instead. Ryuko explains that after his creation, Kou needs to be exposed to the outside world in order to educate him, and now that Kou's physical and mental states have stabilised, it's time to introduce him to the shadow world. Shirogane expresses that he's fine with Kou's progress and states that he was worried at first that Kou might not obey Ryuko.

Their conversation was then interrupted by Lulu, who throws herself onto Kou.

Ignoring Kou's puppy-eyes for mercy, Ryuko allows Lulu to take Kou with her to go out and play, who she calls 'Pochi' despite knowing Kou's name.

Without the light bulbs, the 2 kings move on with their meeting. Ryuko states that the world is unbalance as the shadow king (Homurabi) was chosen too hastily and it was inevitable since Shisui has yet to find his children while Homurabi has already decided on his third kid. To keep the world balanced, they need to find those who have the factor and turn them into REI quickly.

Ryuko explains that although Shisui has already found himself a candidate, he has yet to make any move because Shisui is reluctant to accept any changes. He further comments that once someone is transformed and moved to this world, they would have to abandon what they possess (friends, families) in the other world and start all over again as if they never exist before, which explains Shisui's reluctance to accept changes due to his experience of being stripped of his past and bonds he had with the people he knew.

Shirogane remains indifferent and points out that sacrifice is necessary to maintain the balance between the worlds since they can't do it with just the 2 of them as before. Furthermore, they're already keeping the number of people at its minimum and can't reduce any more.

Ryuko tries to remind that Shirogane that he's already found a way to reduce the sacrifice but Shirogane stops him coldly saying that although he said he was fine with Kou, all he meant was 'there is no need to execute him'. He then warns Ryuko that if he intends to create more of those, he'd break Ryuko's wrists.

Shirogane expresses his displeasure with Ryuko for involving humans, which he was against to but was forced to accept in order to maintain the balance. He's also pretty angry at the fact that Ryuko had carry out such an dangerous act (the creation of Kou). Ryuko apologises to Shirogane for creating Kou and tells him he won't force him to acknowledge his action but he asks Shirogane to have faith in humans.

On the other side, Homurabi and Sawaki find Lulu tormenting playing with Kou. After introducing Kou to them as Pochi, Homurabi pets Kou while expressing his amazement for Kou to have a mind of his own. But Sawaki shows his disapproval of Kou's existence by glaring at the poor doggy. Lulu tells Homurabi that currently, only Ryuko can hear Kou's voice and they might need to wait a while longer for Kou to be able to talk to them.

As Lulu hugs Kou lovingly, Homurabi learns that Lulu is very fond of dogs. After Ryuko ends his meeting with Shirogane, he goes to collect Kou from Lulu. Homurabi tells him that they were playing with 'Pochi' and points out that Ryuko's creation is near perfect. Realising that they're addressing Kou as Pochi, Ryuko corrects them, leaving Homurabi to stare at Lulu and question her mistake. Lulu argues that it's a rule for anything that barks to be named Pochi but Homurabi doesn't understand what she was saying at all.

As Ryuko informs them that he's leaving with Kou, Sawaki suggests that he'd like to go to Ryuko's place stating that he gets along better with Ryuko than Homurabi, leaving Homurabi pretty much speechless. Ryuko informs Homurabi about Shisui and invites him to come over to see him. Learning the existence of a king equivalent to his, Homurabi promises to visit him.

End of chapter.

With only 22 pages per month, I wish Sorano sensei would work harder. Some weekly manga are even longer than this... =_______= But with such a juicy chapter, I'd stop complaining... Sure enough, it was nice to see everyone living happily together, understand the situation and know our lovable characters better.

Highlights of the chapter are definitely Kou's doggy form, Homurabi's short hair, a more manly Shirogane and our somewhat clumsy yet adorable Ryuko!! Seriously I don't think anyone can look better than Ryuko himself in his gorgeous outfit. *fangirling* Besides that we now know a little about Shisui's past, Ryuko's insensitivity, Shirogane's manliness, Lulu's doggy love, and the quiet and sane side of Homurabi. I'm in heaven now~ xD

And now, I shall go back to my studies... T^T
