Kuroshitsuji II 03 - Spider & Dog

Episode 2 was too fluffy for me to have any thoughts on it. So here's episode 3.

Short summary:
Case of people bursting into flames and dying are occurring around London, being the Queen's loyal dog, Ciel and Sebby investigate the case. As they delve deeper into the incidents, they find out that there's another noble family, Trancy, who works for the queen in the dark similar to the Phantomhive. In the end they find the culprit but Sebby fails to save her from dying and they lose their clue to the mastermind behind the scene (which is obviously C-). In order to weed out the mastermind controlling the culprit, Ciel and Sebby decide to check out the Trancy family. The end.

Come one, Sebby, don't play dumb with us please. You do know who's the man with golden eyes and what's the spider referring to!!! Why is he playing dumb with Ciel?

Impression:
Ok, I'll be frank. I am a bit disappointed with the story.

Kuroshitsuji is fun to watch/read because of it's a story of a shota-master and a demon butler. Shota-master is cute, he's the Queen's loyal dog, freaking rich, has a cute fiance, was abused in the past and owns a all-in-one demon butler. Story's interesting and the characters are cute. That's good.

However, adding another pair of shota-master who has similar background (perhaps not the fiance part) and his demon butler running around is too much. It's losing its originality, and that's boring.

*sighs* Of course, the easiest way to connect Ciel with Alois is none other than creating a connection between the shotas and their lovely queen. But that's so....lazy. I thought Alois was different, obviously someone got lazy to be creative and decided to use the old trick... Bleh.

Thank goodness Grell and Sebby made up for the disappointment. Now let's just hope that it stops letting me down and give me some bombastic revelation of why is everyone who died in Season 1 is still running around lively and give Alois and Claude more screen time please.
