Summary of the chapter (or just scroll down for raw scans):
- Ed punches Father.
- Father tries to absorb Greed's stone.
- Greed sacrificed himself (I think) by separating himself from Lin's body, Lin turns back to a normal human.
- Greed foils Father's plan, while Ed gives him the final punch.
- Father turns back into the little orb thing and was sucked back to the gate.
- Everyone was emo seeing Al's souless armour.
- Lin offers Ed the stone but Ed says that he and Al promised each other not to use it for themselves.
- As Ed was looking for a way, Hohenheim offers him to use his soul as the price.
- Ed scolds him and in the end, calls him father, making Hohenheim very happy (Father's Day is near...)
- But everyone is still sad to see Al not coming back, suddenly something struck Ed (not sure whether it's a plan to save Al or another decision).
- He made a circle and sends himself to the gate, saying that it would be Fullmetal Alchemist's last transmutation.
- At the gate, he destroys the gate and 'Truth' disappears while Al appears before him.
- Together, they went through the gate (another one?).
- Back to the battle ground, Al awakens and everyone is happy.
- But Roy is still blind, and Marcoh offers him the stone.
- Initially Roy refuses to use it, but in the end, he promised Marcoh that he will do something to the Ishbal people. (Not sure whether he accepts Marcoh's idea to use the stone)
- Lan Fan vows in front of Rin, and Rin realises that he has the stone and thus he'd be Xing's emperor.
- Rin promises May that he would take care of her clan as well as other clans.
- Everyone bids farewell.
- Hohenheim visits Trisha's grave and dies peacefully in front of it.
- Ed and Al travel back to Resembool, Al gets the feeling of being tired again.
- Back at home, Winry greets and hugs them.
- Ed does some wood work, but he hits his finger with the hammer. He tries using alchemy, but it doesn't work anymore.
- Working on the roof, Ed enjoys the scenery. Al joins him later, and mentions that he's been thinking about something for a long long time.
- Ed then says that it's most likely the same as what he is thinking.
- Back to Mrs. Bradley, she is shown chatting with Riza's grandpa as a innocent toddler Selim comes up to her.
- Al is shown talking to Hughes' wife telling her that he wants to find a way to defy the law of equivilant exchange and there's a girl whom he wasn't able to save before (Nina!!! D=).
- Later on, he goes onto a journey to Xing with the 2 Chimeras who helped Ed before, he also states that he wants to see the world with his own eyes and walk with his own legs.
- At Resembool, Ed and Winry are waiting for the train.
- Ed tells Winry, 'I'll give you half of my 'life', so in turn, would you give me yours?'
- Winry says that he's still an alchemy freak and calls him an idiot. But in the end, she says something like 'I'll give you my whole.' (and so I assume it was a propose!!!!! xD)
- Ed left Resembool for another journey. But both he and Al goes back. For the rest of the gang, check the second last image!!!

I really need to smash my laptop and modem into bits, with these kinds of things going on, my revision is seriously going no where. But how could I ever miss out the ending of one of my favourite manga??? No way. *sighs*
Ed marries Winry and they have 2 kids!!!!!!!! Lin is Xing's emperor(where's Lan Fan??????)!!! Riza stays with Roy(where's my wedding scene????)!!!! And most importantly, Al got back his body(and is he with May?????? Me wanna see their kids...)!!!!!! xD
A lot of 'awwwwww' moments. Which is natural I guess seeing that this is the final chapter. T__________T

ReplyDeleteFMA certainly had a terrific run over the better part of last decade, although I must say the ending was a little too predictable. I need to read some scans to better understand what went on.
